Domestic Kitchen Extension

The Client, Andy had asked us to help him with the joinery on an ongoing project at his home, after the extension was built and nearing completion there was only a few things needed to finish off, this included the kitchen fitting, doors, under stairs cupboard and skylight.

He had his heart set on a centre island hob with an overhead extractor, although difficult in that current situation, this wasn’t impossible, with minimal damage to the ceiling we managed to get this installed along side the rest of the kitchen.

Andy didn’t just want a standard cupboard under his stairs, he opted for push to open drawers with a coat cupboard and show rack that matched the contours of the stairs.

This was to be done in MDF and ready for decoration as we was unsure of what colour would look best.

To follow on from this all the doors wanted changing to Solid Oak Dordogne doors complimented with pewter rose handles and ball bearing hinges.

Snagging… after everything was complete the finish on the skylight didn’t match with the rest of the extension, it just looked out of place and that it should be there, plenty of head scratching and we managed to come up with the solid oak solution which smartened up the unsightly plastic and finished off the job!
